I come to you with a selection of tracks I curated in honor of my birthday today. I've been toying with the idea of dropping seasonal playlists every few months and what is a celebration without a soundtrack? This time of year is always so odd. You've got the post-New Years adrenaline crash, weather that makes your throat hurt and your ears burn, and, somehow amidst waking up to sun-less mornings and kicking caked salt off your boots, you still find little pockets of joyous warmth in cozy nights in a friend's apartment and bars with fogged up windows. The mood of this playlist is all over place, just like I always feel on this day. There's nothing remarkable about turning 27 (save for some jokes about avoiding white lighters and doomed music careers) but as I spend the day resting and snacking on treats, I hope you'll take a listen with me.
