Hello friends,
Thank you (all 300 of you!) so much for joining me on my silly little digital meanderings over this past year.
When I rang in 2022, I was already in the process of doing a complete 180° with my life. I had just quit my intense corporate job that had left me on the verge of burnout, I was gearing up to start my first semester of grad school in the start of January, and I knew that this would be the year that I prioritized my passion for writing rather than procrastinate on it as I had years prior.
The results could not have made me prouder. I not only achieved my busiest year of writing yet, but I got to grow Screenshot Reliquary into a writing practice I once only dreamed about. By expanding this newsletter, I’ve been able to connect with creatives whose work I long admired, pushed myself out of my comfort zone to read, see, and explore, and became a much more disciplined and confident writer along the way.
Whether you subscribe only to my free monthly emails, or you see all of my other reviews and essays, I am so grateful for you! As much as I love doing this for myself, it warms my heart to know that ya’ll also love coming along these adventures with me and that you, too, have been able to find new favorites and recommendations.
So thank you for opening my emails each month, thank you for sharing my newsletter with your friends, and thank you for supporting this labor of love not only this year but in the years to come.
You’ll hear from me again soon with a recap from the previous year. Until then, a favorite poem of mine to welcome you into 2023.
Ellie
